Initials

On many elongated coins, you’ll find a set of initials beneath the pull (a raised portion of the border near the narrow end of the coin) or somewhere along the edge of the design, often in the border. These initials indicate who the designer, engraver, or roller of the coin was. This list can help you determine the names of the people involved in the design and rolling of your coin. Just look up the initials and find the name.
