The first TEC Design Contest was in 1993.  The second was in 2006 and it has been an annual event since. All active General, Junior, Associate, Life & Honorary TEC Members are invited to submit their entries based on the theme chosen. The winner is chosen by the judging panel..  The winner receives 25 elongated cents with their design, a set of a quarter, dime, nickel and cent of their design, one free year of TEC Membership and the chance to be on the judging panel for the following years contest.
